The main priority of our sport camp programs is the health, safety and well-being of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, and staff. 

All potential applicants to our youth residential programs are encouraged to regularly check our updated information and expectations, which may be subject to change.

The Participant Form must be completed online two weeks prior to the first day of camp.

Baseball Future Stars Prospect Camp

July 31-August 2

Grades 9-12 (Grad Years: 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030)   

The Penn State Baseball Future Stars Prospect Camp is open to players entering in grades 9-12. This competitive camp is specifically designed for more advanced players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing baseball beyond high school. Players will have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and showcase their talent under the direct supervision and evaluation of the Penn State coaching staff. The camp provides a unique opportunity to develop skills, gain exposure, and experience the Penn State baseball environment firsthand.

Each player will learn the same skills and techniques that the Penn State Baseball players use to develop their game.  Players will receive a written evaluation on their defensive, offensive, and overall performance, providing valuable feedback for improvement. The camp includes participation in simulated games, allowing players to apply their skills in a competitive environment. Players will have full access to Penn State Baseball facilities.

Fee: $499/day camper (includes instruction, camp shirt, no housing)

Meals: Bring your own snacks and a water bottle to fill at camp. Water will be provided.

Baseball Future Stars Prospect Camps – ONE DAY Option

July 31, August 1, or August 2

Grades 9-12 (Grad Years: 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030

 

The Penn State Baseball Future Stars Prospect Camp-ONE DAY Option is open to boys entering grades 9-12.  These competitive camps are designed for high school student-athletes who are serious about playing baseball at the collegiate level. Hosted by the Penn State coaching staff, these camps offer a unique opportunity to showcase your skills, receive expert instruction, and experience the competitive atmosphere of NCAA Division I baseball.

 Features of the Future Stars Prospect Camps-ONE DAY Option: 

  • Pro-style workout (60-yard dash, defensive evaluations, batting practice)
  • Live game play and situational drills
  • Pitching and catching instruction
  • Campus and facilities tour (optional)
  • Q&A session with coaching staff about recruiting, academics, and life as a student-athlete

NOTE:  Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis until the session is filled.

Fee:  $175 per camp (includes instruction, camp shirt, no housing)

Baseball Team Camps

Team Camp I-July 10-12

Team Camp II-July 17-19

Grades 9-12:  High School Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Club Teams


The focus of the Penn State Team Camp is to provide a high-quality teaching opportunity and competition. All players will have an opportunity to improve their individual skills and techniques while developing team concepts in game play.
The camp will begin with a skill workout run by college coaches including on field batting practice, cage drills, defensive skill instruction, extended infield/outfield, and skill instruction for pitchers. 
 
Teams will play two seven (7) inning games.  Team coaches will coach their teams, set the lineups, and determine pitching rotations.  College coaches will be assigned to each team to assist with coaching teams.  All other college coaches will be on the field working with players at specific positions, in the bullpens and in the dugouts as bench coaches.  Each team will get pre-game infield/outfield and batting practice in the cages prior to the games.
 
Features of the Team Camp

  • Instruction by the Penn State coaches
  • Player and College coach interactions
  • Two 7-inning games
  • Games played on Medlar Field & fields around the Penn State campus
  • Sports Health Care staff for all instruction and games

Note:  Each team needs to wear their team uniform.
Note: Teams must bring a minimum of 12 players to 20 players maximum.

Team Payment
The coach/team representative must register online with a nonrefundable deposit of $200.
Payment must be made online by credit card. The balance of the fee is due two weeks prior to the camp (June 26 or July 3) 

Team Fee: includes instruction, games, shirt for players only, no housing                    

  • Teams:  $2600 per team per camp
    ***DAY CAMP ONLY /NO HOUSING 

Meals:  Not provided.  Teams will be responsible for their own meals.  Water will be provided.
Note: We will have a few breaks during the camp. Please bring snacks to energize yourself and a water bottle to refill during camp.  

 

Team Registration

The coach/team representative must register online, along with a nonrefundable deposit of $200.

The coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail.

  1. Coach/Team Representative - Provide each camper a personal team link received from SportCampInfo@psu.edu.
  2. Coach/Team Representative – Provide a team roster to SportCampinfo@psu.edu
    1. Team roster is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp
      1. Team Camp I due June 26
      2. Team Camp II due July 3
    2. Include all players and coaches on the roster.
    3. NO roster additions after June 26 or July 3 
  3. Campers - Parents register campers using the personal team link provided by the Coach to ensure that their child is placed on the correct team.

Coach/Team Representative:

Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors attending Penn State Camps are participants of the camp as such; all participants must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

All adult participants are required to read and understand obligations for reporting child abuse witnessed or suspected during the course of participation in the camp at Penn State University. Adult participants, who willfully fail to report a case of suspected child abuse, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Adult participants are protected by Pennsylvania law and Penn State policy from discrimination for filing a good faith report of child abuse.

Accommodations:

Participants are responsible for their own housing arrangements. A list of hotels, as well as additional information and maps, can be found HERE!  



Facility

Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the home of the Nittany Lion baseball team is arguably one of the best collegiate stadiums in the country. A spacious clubhouse welcomes the Nittany Lions with a locker room, an expanded training room, a weight room, a team lounge and an indoor batting cage which also includes two dirt mounds for pitchers to work off of in inclement weather and opens directly into the Penn State bullpen on the right field line.

 

What to Bring for Camp

Campers should bring a fielder's glove, batting gloves, a baseball cap, bat (if possible), batting helmet (if possible), spikes and tennis shoes. Catchers should bring all necessary gear, including shin guards, chest protectors and masks. Also, campers should bring a water bottle to refill during camp.
